Gurdeepak Ahuja is post-graduate in Business Adminstration and currently pursuing his advanced degree in Sports Management from the International Academy for Sports Science and Technology in Lausanne, Switzerland. He has professional experience of over three and a half years in an Information Technology firm, recruiting and managing Human Resources.

Over the last two years, Gurdeepak has been actively involved in practising sport for fun. He is a long distance runner and has been timing under 2 hours in the half-marathons at Mumbai/India and Lausanne/Switzerland. With keen interest in the mountains, he has travelled across various mountain ranges in India extending from Ladakh sector to Uttarkashi. Having been graded as 'A' level mountaineer from the prestigious Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, he dreams to climb the highest peaks in all continents world-wide. Gurdeepak is currently working as an intern with the International Mountaineering and Climbing federation based in Berne, Switzerland. His work on Safety Standards for mountaineering equipment took him to Prague (Czech Republic) for the annual Safety Comssision meeting 2008. His proposals on General Regulations were approved in the plenary there.

In sports, although cricket is his favourite pastime, he likes to play squash, table tennis and football as well. Gurdeepak is also a mountain-biker with an ultimate love for the mountains. He has been biking in India, Switzerland, Italy and France. Besides practising sport himself, he is determined to work towards the development of 'Elite sports' and 'Sports for all' in India. His other visions include publishing a book of his poems, short stories for children and making movies of various extreme sports.

Finally, he looks to shape his hobby of sports into a career; and belives he is well on his way!
