Gurdeepak Singh Ahuja is a management professional with an Advaned-Masters in Sports Management from the International Academy for Sports Science and Technology in Lausanne, Switzerland. He also holds a post-graduation diploma in Business Management. He has managerial experience of three and a half years, as a Manager- Human Resources in an Information Technology firm in the Financial Services and Products business. Subsequently he worked for four and a half years managing and running the head office of the UIAA-International Mountaineering and Climbing federation. His responsibilities included General Management as well as Marketing & Sponsorship for the International Federation, besides dealing with over 150 volunteers on various commissions & working groups across the world. 

Gurdeepak has been actively involved in practising sport as his hobby. He is a long distance runner and has been timing under 2 hours in the half-marathons at Mumbai/India and Lausanne/Switzerland. With keen interest in the mountains as a child, he has travelled across various mountain ranges in India extending from Ladakh sector to Uttarkashi. In 2006, he was certified as 'A' level mountaineer from the prestigious Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, India. Since that time he has been mountaineering and climbing in various parts of the world, including in Switzerland, Nepal, Russia, Italy and India. 

Since a few years, Gurdeepak has also been practicing Yoga. He is a Registered Yoga Teacher and is running his yoga school in Bern. With his understanding of the ancient Indian Yogic texts and armed with knowledge of physiology, Gurdeepak is aiming to bring the benefits of ancient knowledge of Yoga into the lives of office-going executives; where often long hours in front of the computer and long-term damaging lifestyles are taking a heavy toll on productivity and happiness quotient. He also wants to bring the benefits of Yoga to athletes, in improving their performance during competitions and also during recovery after competitions.

Be it sweating it out over a game of squash or exploring the nature with his mountain bike, Gurdeepak is committed to a healthy & blissful living. He believes he has the tools to deal with the current day high-pressure work situations and lead by example. 

Finally, he likes to unwind by writing short poems and one of his long-term vision includes publishing a book of his poems. Some of his works can be read in the "Scribbled" section.
